Dog Pelts are obtained by killing either Wild Dogs in the Wilderness or Dingos in the Valley. Dog Pelts are needed to complete the Quest, Pelting Them, which requires collecting 10 Dog Pelts and rewards you with a Pelt Cloak. Dog pelts sell for 20 GP at Taverns.
If you take 10 pelts to Leon in Dondheim City, he will craft them into a Cloak for 10 GP.
