The Archmage is one of two class upgrade choices for a Wizard that has reached level 50. The other is Warlock. Archmages can use both magic and ranged. An Archmage's ranged level is always 50 levels lower than its magic level.
Players can upgrade their characters at level 50 by talking to Kayla.
